This Fallow Ground

Let it lie, this fallow ground.

Let it rest.

This season is not wasted, no. The nutrients are stinking deep, replenishing what is needed to grow. Replenishing what was once stripped.

This season is not wasted, no.

What may appear barren or a wasteland is simply space, resting

This fallow ground is resting, a reminder that rest is equally as important as the seasons of sowing, pruning and harvesting.

Rest reminds us that in order for this cycle to be whole, it is vital.

When others ask and you feel the urge to overcompensate, remember this too is sacred ground, this fallow ground.
