FAQ

  • Not at all. While A Fostered Love was created with the foster and adoption community in mind, services are open to anyone navigating personal growth, healing, or life transitions.

Many clients come in working through things like anxiety, low self-esteem, identity, or decision-making. If you’re willing to be honest about where you are and open to growth, this space is for you.

  • My approach blends clinical training with lived experience.

As a licensed social worker and someone who has personally experienced foster care and adoption, I bring both professional tools and real-life understanding into the work we do together. This allows for a space that feels both effective and deeply human.

Clients often share that it doesn’t feel overly clinical or sterile, but instead like a safe, honest conversation that still leads to real growth.

  • Yes, completely. Starting therapy can feel intimidating, especially if you’re unsure what to expect or have had past experiences that didn’t feel helpful. Many clients come in feeling hesitant, overwhelmed, or unsure of where to begin.

You don’t need to have everything figured out before reaching out.

We take things one step at a time, at a pace that feels safe and sustainable for you.
